The Centre for Professional and Distance Education was created in 2001 to reach out to students in our different institutions and also those in other institutions. Distance learning methods, was one of the objectives and it will become one of the main windows of information and learning when a self financing/autonomous university of SIES comes into place. The facilities for distance learning are being investigated and it shall be the endeavour of CPDE to reach out to as many students as possible globally. Virtual classrooms may also be created and interactive dialogue between the teacher and students at different locations will also be possible.

At present CPDE is offering their services by conducting Tally classes to first year (degree) Commerce students to make them Tally proficient, as a value addition and successful students would receive Tally certification and will also avail placement opportunities.

The CPDE conducts courses for common entrance examinations for entry into programmes like BMS, MMS, Engineering and Medicine. CPDE also conducts in-house test series for students of SIES institutions with a view to improve their final examination scores at the HSC level from where they take off for different career options.

During the course of time the CPDE would be of service to a large number of students so that they may learn at a convenient pace from their own location.
